About Verde Gloria

Verde Gloria is a green-looking hard rock from Brazil. The ground moves between dark green, greenish grey and anthracite, run through with fine lighter mineral grains and a slight, almost irregular movement. This produces a natural, restrained image that appears neither technically cold nor decoratively loud. For calm green accents on worktops, floors, stairs and wall claddings in particular, this is very coherent.

The stone comes from Brazil and is traded in the natural stone trade as a hard rock. Visually and in material terms, Verde Gloria falls within the family of dark Brazilian granite- or serpentinite-related hard rocks customary in the green segment. The Greek serpentinite marble of the same name is a different material. In trade usage, Verde Gloria runs in the granite group and is among the classical “green hard rocks” as they have been used in kitchen and contract projects for decades.

Finishes

Verde Gloria is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Care & fabrication

As a green hard rock, Verde Gloria is easy to care for. A sealing treatment is not obligatory, but is advisable on kitchen worktops — it makes cleaning and care easier and reduces visible grease and water marks.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and a soft microfibre cloth are sufficient. Because the stone is acid-resistant, citrus, wine or vinegar do not harm the surface — a clear advantage over green serpentinite marbles.

On polished surfaces, water marks and fingerprints are visually more apparent than on matt or textured finishes. Regular dry wiping keeps the look even. Outdoors, a slip-resistant textured finish and clean installation matter more than care chemistry. As a hard rock, Verde Gloria remains hard-wearing there over the long term.
